Housing Hub Colorado supports developers of affordable rental housing utilizing federal Housing Tax Credits and related gap funding in Colorado. Here are initiatives that align processes and reduce time when applying for multiple funding sources.

Common Application

Agencies have worked to align respective application spreadsheets into a single Common Application for Housing Tax Credit developments in an effort to reduce administrative burden on applicants applying across entities. The Common Application replaces previous DOH and HOST budget spreadsheets.

Common Narratives

Narrative responses have been aligned across agencies to eliminate redundancy and allow developers to share information as necessary across organizations, saving time and resources.

Common Document Sharing Platform

Agencies will utilize a common document sharing platform for all applications. A common platform streamlines and eliminates multiple uploads of commonly accepted documents.

Coordinated Funding

CHFA, DOH, and OEDIT announced a coordinated funding pilot as part of the 2027-2028 Qualified Allocation Plan (QAP). This process aligns Housing Tax Credit awards with eligible state gap funding resources beginning in 2027.

Application Timelines
