About Housing Hub Colorado
The Colorado Department of Local Affairs (DOLA), Colorado Housing and Finance Authority (CHFA), the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT), and the Denver Department of Housing Stability (HOST) are aligning to provide a centralized hub for information related to affordable rental housing projects applying for federal Housing Tax Credits and related gap funding in Colorado. Through alignment, we are supporting developers to build communities that provide Coloradans with a place to call home.
HHC’s vision is to enable more efficient affordable housing development statewide by:
- aligning processes,
- reducing the time and costs associated with applying for multiple funding sources, and
- increasing coordination between agencies.
Phase 1: Alignment
The first phase is designed to support applicants in competitive application rounds to enable efficiencies across the tax credit application and tax credit gap financing application processes. This includes a common Excel application for tax credit projects that may be submitted as part of the application process to the Department of Local Affairs (DOLA), the Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT), Colorado Housing and Finance Authority (CHFA), and the Denver Department of Housing Stability (HOST), as applicable.
Phase 1 is designed to reduce time and cost burden for affordable housing developers, as well as to uncover additional opportunities to implement efficiencies.
Phase 2: One Common Application
DOLA, CHFA, OEDIT, and HOST are working together to launch a common application for developments supported by Housing Tax Credits.
